Dominican Republic to Host the ITF-Cotecc U12 Team Finals 2025
The Dominican Tennis Federation (Fedotenis) is preparing to host the ITF-Cotecc U12 Team Final Competition 2025, an event that promises strong emotions for tennis lovers. The competition will take place at the National Tennis Center of Parque del Este from the 21st to the 25th of this month, offering free access to all fans. The tournament will feature the participation of men’s and women’s teams, representing various nations. In the men’s division, the teams from Barbados, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic will compete. For their part, in the women’s category, Honduras, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and, of course, the Dominican Republic will face each other. Diego Navidad will be the main referee of the event, ensuring compliance with the rules and the smooth development of the matches.Dominican Teams Ready for Competition
The Dominican men’s team will be made up of Eliezer Santos, Michael Almeida and Elías Santana, under the captaincy of Wilson Peña. As for the women’s team, it will be represented by Ana Paula Vega, Kyara Kayyat and Elaine Martínez, with Danneury Javier as captain.Inauguration Ceremony
The official opening of the event is scheduled for Monday, September 22nd at 9 a.m., at the National Tennis Center in Parque del Este.The winners of this competition will advance to the grand final, where they will face teams from the South American Tennis Confederation (Cosat), Canada, and the United States. The realization of this event is possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Banco de Reservas, Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Central Bank, Ekatex, Creso, El Nuevo Diario and Wilson.In July of this year, two Dominican teams advanced undefeated to this stage, after winning the 2025 ITF Cotecc U12 Team Competition Sub Region 3 tournament; now they will go for the final event.
