Eury Pérez Leaves the Game Due to Injury

Toronto, Canada – Dominican pitcher Eury Pérez was forced to leave his Wednesday start against the Toronto Blue Jays due to a right hamstring injury. The game took place at the Rogers Centre.

The Marlins’ pitcher had completed four scoreless innings, displaying a dominant performance that included nine strikeouts, the most for him this season. However, physical discomfort forced him to leave the game.

The broadcast images showed Pérez receiving medical attention in the dugout after expressing pain while preparing to return to the mound in the fifth inning. Subsequently, he needed help to go to the clubhouse.

Michael Petersen entered the game as a relief pitcher instead of the Dominican pitcher.
