New York – The NBA has fined Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green $50,000 for inappropriate comments directed at the referees during Game 3 of the playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The match, held last Saturday, resulted in a defeat for the Warriors with a score of 102-97. The league announced that Green openly questioned the integrity of the match officials.

The player’s disciplinary record is not new.

In the 2016 Finals, Green was suspended for accumulation of flagrant fouls, and in the 2023 playoffs he received another suspension after an incident with Domantas Sabonis, from the Sacramento team.

According to data, Green has accumulated over $992,000 in fines throughout his career, of which $185,000 are related to incidents towards referees. Added to this are salary losses due to suspensions amounting to $3.2 million.

The Warriors, currently trailing in the series, need an immediate reaction to keep their championship aspirations alive.
