United States – Tuesday’s day in the Major Leagues witnessed the power of Dominican hitters, with outstanding performances by Carlos Santana and Julio Rodríguez, who hit crucial home runs to secure victories for their respective teams.

Santana and His Decisive Home Run

In Washington, the experienced first baseman Carlos Santana proved his worth by breaking the scoreless tie with an impressive three-run home run in the sixth inning. This hit propelled the Cleveland Guardians to a 9-1 victory over the Washington Nationals in the second game of a doubleheader.

With two outs and a 0-2 count, Santana hit a pitch from Brad Lord, sending the ball to the right field bullpen. This home run was the start of an offensive that also included home runs by Daniel Schneemann and Austin Hedges.

Thanks to this victory, Cleveland managed to split the day, after falling in the first game with a score of 10-9, and has managed to win six of their last eight games.

Rodríguez Continues to Shine

In West Sacramento, the young and talented Julio Rodríguez continued his outstanding season by hitting his sixth home run of the year. In addition, he had an outstanding offensive performance, batting 3-for-4 in the Seattle Mariners’ 5-3 victory over the Oakland Athletics.

Rodríguez opened the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning and was fundamental in the ninth-inning comeback, where Seattle scored three runs to secure the victory.

Another Dominican, Carlos Vargas, also left his mark by getting his first save in the Major Leagues, closing the game with authority and leaving two men on base.
