In the discipline of basketball, the Costa Rican team had a mixed day, with a win and a loss against Dominican teams during the first day of the Women’s Sports Games, held in the modern multipurpose hall of Ciudad Juan Bosch.
In the first match, the Costa Rican team achieved a victory with a score of 50-42 against Dominican Republic A. María Montero, the team’s pivot, stood out with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Adriana Zúñiga and Fernanda Gómez contributed 9 points each.
