Christensen, significant loss for Barcelona due to knee injury

Barcelona – FC Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen will miss the next matches due to a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The injury occurred during a training session last Saturday, according to the club.

Following medical tests, it was determined that the player will undergo conservative treatment, seeking to avoid surgical intervention.

This absence adds to a list of absences in Hansi Flick’s team.

Midfielder Pedro González ‘Pedri’ will also not be available for the match against Villarreal due to hamstring discomfort.

In addition, Ronald Araujo remains out of action, recovering from a health issue; Pablo Páez Gavira ‘Gavi’, in the process of recovering after a meniscus surgery; and Dani Olmo, rehabilitating from a dislocated shoulder.

The Barcelona medical team will assess Christensen’s progress to determine his return to competition.
