Leones del Escogido Bolster Rotation with Tyler Danish

Santo Domingo – The Leones del Escogido, current national and Caribbean champions, have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish, according to the team’s general manager, Carlos Peña. Danish, 31 years old, joins the team after his time with the Olmecas de Tabasco in the Mexican Baseball League. In his recent participation with Tabasco, Danish accumulated a 4-3 record, with an ERA of 3.53 and 39 strikeouts in 91.2 innings pitched. In 2024, he also participated with the same team, recording 13 strikeouts in 13.2 innings, a WHIP of 0.80, an ERA of 1.32, and a batting average against of .128. The player from Brandon, Florida, has experience in the Major Leagues, having played for the Chicago White Sox between 2016 and 2018, and for the Boston Red Sox in 2022. In his time in MLB, Danish recorded a combined record of 5-1 and 43 strikeouts in 53.1 innings.

The incorporation of Danish comes at a crucial moment for us. His experience and ability to compete in important games gives us a palpable boost as we seek qualification.
