SANTO DOMINGO – The Tigres del Licey suffered another defeat this Sunday, falling 5-4 to the Estrellas Orientales at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium. This result extends their losing streak to five consecutive games in the 2025-26 season of the Dominican Baseball League. With a 9-16 record, the blue team continues to struggle at the bottom of the table, seeking to regain their best form in a season that offers no respite.
A bittersweet ending
The game was defined in the ninth inning, when a hit by Robinson Canó left the Tigers on the field. Left-handed pitcher Andrew Pérez (0-1, 6.75) was the one who took the loss, after conceding a base and allowing the hit that sealed the result.
