BTS and MLB: A Musical Fusion for the 2026 Season

The Major League Baseball (MLB) has announced a special collaboration with the acclaimed South Korean group BTS for the inaugural week of the 2026 season. This strategic alliance seeks to merge the world of baseball with K-pop, promising a unique experience for fans of both fields. The collaboration will include several promotional videos that will be broadcast on social media, with the soundtrack composed of songs from BTS’s new album, “ARIRANG”. This initiative marks a milestone in the integration of music and sport, targeting a global and diverse audience.

First Details of the Collaboration

The first of the three promotional videos has already been released, presenting the song “FYA”, one of the most energetic songs on the album. The video includes images of prominent players such as Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto in action, showing memorable plays. The second video is scheduled to be broadcast on Wednesday, coinciding with the first game of the 2026 season between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. This game will be broadcast live on Netflix. The third and final promotional video will be released during the opening week, completing the series of audiovisual content created to celebrate the start of the season. The music of #BTS_ARIRANG will be the soundtrack of MLB’s social content in honor of opening week.

Twitter post about the collaboration

The collaboration between BTS and MLB coincides with the group’s expected musical comeback, which recently released its new album and held a massive concert in Seoul. Members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are currently in the United States promoting their new production. This initiative is part of MLB’s strategy to connect with a global and young audience, combining the international reach of K-pop with the start of the Major League Baseball season.
