Tragic outcome in San José de Mendoza: Young person dies after confrontation with the Police
A 19-year-old young man, identified as Natanael Elena Matos, known in his community as “Bebo,” lost his life this Thursday after an exchange of gunfire occurred with agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) in the San José de Mendoza sector, located in East Santo Domingo.
The incident took place specifically on Benigno Castro Street. According to preliminary reports from the law enforcement agency, the event occurred when members of DICRIM were carrying out patrol and pursuit operations against several individuals who were traveling on a motorcycle that, allegedly, was listed as stolen in police records.
