Yo También Puedo Foundation recognizes iQtek Foundation for its commitment to inclusion

The Yo También Puedo Foundation granted special recognition to the iQtek Foundation in merit of its outstanding work supporting initiatives that promote social inclusion, labor insertion, and the development of opportunities for people with disabilities in the Dominican Republic.

This award highlights iQtek’s valuable integration into the non-profit organization’s social programs, which use art and education as key tools to transform the lives of its beneficiaries. A fundamental pillar of this collaboration has been the iQtek Foundation Golf Tournament, an event that allowed for the channeling of significant resources toward the social impact projects of Yo También Puedo.

The value of corporate social responsibility

During the awards ceremony, Roberto Rodríguez, director of iQtek, shared that his company’s commitment stems from a genuine desire to give back to society. Rodríguez highlighted that the main objective is to generate a tangible impact on the development of young people and families, allowing them to access tools that facilitate their professional growth and economic autonomy.

I had this desire to give something back. Many times those contributions we make just stay there. We do it and we don’t know what it becomes.

The executive highlighted that the company already has young people in professional positions within the engineering area, demonstrating that labor inclusion is a successful and necessary commitment. For Rodríguez, it is vital that the business sector collaborates with specialized organizations to ensure that support transcends the economic and turns into real results.

A forward-looking partnership

Beyond the funds, iQtek’s vision is to strengthen a comprehensive alliance that promotes sustainable development. Rodriguez emphasized the great potential that people with disabilities possess in the labor market, describing them as brilliant individuals with much to offer society.

  • Promotion of labor insertion for people with disabilities.
  • Development of strategic alliances between the private sector and social organizations.
  • Commitment to the continuous growth of inclusion programs.

For its part, the Yo También Puedo Foundation valued this collaboration as a model to follow, highlighting that cooperation between companies and social entities is the most effective path to expand training and inclusion opportunities in the country. With the support of his family and the iQtek team, Rodríguez reaffirmed his willingness to continue working so that this alliance continues to grow and transform lives.
