Definitive titling process begins in Los Praditos
The Technical Executing Unit for State Land Titling (UTECT) has launched the necessary technical, social, and legal work for the mass titling of homes in the Los Praditos sector, located in the National District. This ambitious project seeks to benefit 1,800 people, with plans to deliver 450 property titles that will provide legal security to families who have occupied these lands for decades.
Duarte Méndez Peña, executive director of the UTECT, reported that this initiative is being carried out in conjunction with the General Directorate of National Assets. As he explained, the intervention responds to a direct instruction from the Executive Branch after evaluating the legal situation of the area, managing to start the work in record time to ensure the well-being of the community.

Technical operation details
The initial phase of this survey is specifically focused on plot 110-reformed 779-A of Cadastral District No. 04. The fieldwork, which is completely free of charge for the beneficiaries, covers the polygon delimited by:
- North: Charles Sommer Avenue.
- South and West: Fernando Arturo Defilló Avenue.
- East: Part of D Street.
Surveyor Antoneli Díaz Lebrón will lead the field brigades, which are duly identified to carry out the parcel survey with the transparency required by the National Titling Plan.
Social impact and legal certainty
For his part, Miguel Santana, director of National Property Titling, highlighted that obtaining these title certificates allows citizens to formally integrate into the real estate and financial market by possessing a legal guarantee over their properties. This regularization not only adds value to the properties but also facilitates future state interventions in infrastructure and basic services to improve the quality of life in the sector.
The launch event, held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel, was attended by neighborhood development authorities and ecclesiastical representatives, who celebrated the positive impact this process will have on the inhabitants of Los Praditos. The UTECT continues to expand these operations nationwide, reaffirming its commitment to the democratization of private property in the Dominican Republic.
