The United States dominates with authority in its debut at the Norceca Qualifying Championship
The United States women’s national volleyball team began its journey in the Norceca Qualifying Championship with a resounding victory. In the opening match held this Friday at the Ricardo Gioriber Arias Volleyball Palace, the American team defeated Trinidad and Tobago 3-0, making their competitive level clear from the first set.
The final score reflected the absolute dominance of the North American team, which prevailed with partials of 25-6, 25-11, and 25-4, without allowing their rivals to find a rhythm of play at any point in the match.
Offensive leadership
The United States offense was led by middle blocker Asjia O’Neal, who stood out as the top scorer of the match by recording 18 points. She was accompanied in the attack by Stephanie Samedy, with 14 points, and Dana Retke, who concluded her performance with nine points.
On the side of Trinidad and Tobago, the offensive response was limited against the American block and pressure. Thia Wilson managed to add four points, while Sadie Torker contributed two units to her team’s score.
Road to the World Cup and Olympic Games
