Weather forecast: INDOMET warns of rain and high temperatures in the country
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) has issued a report on the weather conditions that will affect the national territory over the next few hours. The arrival of a tropical wave is expected, which will increase cloudiness and cause moderate intensity rainfall in various provinces.
Areas under alert and weather phenomena
According to the agency, the rains will be accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional gusts of wind. The areas that will experience the greatest atmospheric activity are the following:
- Caribbean coastal littoral.
- Northeast region.
- Central Mountain Range.
- Border zone.
- Southwest region.
Maritime conditions and health recommendations
Despite the atmospheric instability, INDOMET confirmed that maritime conditions on the Caribbean and Atlantic coasts remain stable, with no restrictions for usual sea activities.
On the other hand, the heat will persist in much of the territory, a situation that will be accentuated by the presence of Saharan dust particles. Given this scenario, citizens are urged to follow preventive measures to protect their health:
It is essential to maintain constant hydration and avoid prolonged exposure to direct solar radiation, especially in the interval between 11:00 in the morning and 4:00 in the afternoon.
