La Peñita: A resounding success in the Eastern Zone with the support of Dotol Nastra
The first edition of “La Peñita” established itself as a historic event in Santo Domingo, achieving a massive turnout that exceeded all expectations at the Chencha cultural space, located under the Mella Bridge in Villa Duarte. The initiative, promoted by the platform Reconocidos.net in collaboration with the renowned communicator Dotol Nastra, became a vibrant celebration of Dominican musical identity.
From the early afternoon hours, thousands of fans of tropical rhythms gathered at the venue, equipped with beach chairs and güiras to enjoy a repertoire that included merengue, bachata, salsa, and traditional music. The artistic lineup featured renowned figures such as Ramón Orlando, Aramis Camilo, Sujeto Oro 24, and Crazy Design, who were in charge of getting the attendees dancing.
A rescue of tradition with civility
The event, which was sponsored by Farmacias GBC and BanReservas, stood out for promoting a safe and family-friendly environment. Under a strict “zero dembow” policy and the prohibition of glass containers, the organization sought to rescue the essence of traditional gatherings, achieving exemplary behavior from the citizens who gathered in the Eastern Zone.
