Justice in motion: Merits trial begins against Jean André Pumarol for the Naco case
The First Collegiate Court of the National District has set October 13th as the start date for the trial on the merits against Jean André Pumarol Fernández. The defendant faces charges linked to the violent incident that occurred in the Naco sector, an event that resulted in the loss of a life and left several people with serious injuries.
The court in charge of presiding over this judicial process is composed of judges Giselle Méndez, Tania Yunes Sánchez, and Jisell Naranjo Tejada, who will have the responsibility of exhaustively evaluating the evidence and arguments presented by the parties involved.
A process reactivated by justice
This breakthrough in the case comes after a key resolution from the Second Chamber of the Court of Appeals of the National District. On August 6, said judicial body made the decision to revoke the dismissal order that had previously favored Pumarol Fernández, thus ordering the formal opening of a trial on the merits.
With this new provision, the Dominican judicial system prepares for a decisive phase where the evidentiary elements that seek to clarify the facts and determine the corresponding criminal responsibilities will be examined.
