SeNaSa 2.0 Case: thirteen defendants admit their guilt before the court

The judicial process linked to the SeNaSa 2.0 case has recorded significant progress following the recent coercion measures hearing. The deputy prosecutor, Wilson Camacho, confirmed that a group of thirteen defendants formally acknowledged their participation in the events attributed to them by the Public Ministry.

During the session, the prosecution detailed its strategy regarding the individuals involved who have decided to cooperate with the authorities. As Camacho explained, the Public Prosecutor’s Office formally requested house arrest for nine of the defendants, basing this request on the collaborative attitude shown during the investigation phase.

A portion of those involved has collaborated with the Public Prosecutor’s investigation and we, being consistent, as we have done in all cases, to the extent that individuals show remorse, admit to the facts, and even apologized before the court.

Details regarding the cooperation and the course of the process

Magistrate Camacho was emphatic in clarifying that the request for a less restrictive coercive measure does not imply the closure of the criminal proceedings. The cooperation of the defendants, which included the admission of the charges and expressions of remorse, has been a key factor for the Public Prosecutor’s Office to adjust its initial claims before the judge.

Despite these admissions, investigations continue their course to determine individual and collective responsibilities in this case of administrative corruption that has captured public attention.

  • Thirteen defendants admitted to the facts before the court.
  • The Public Prosecutor’s Office requested house arrest for nine of those involved.
  • The remorse and apologies offered by the defendants were taken into account.
  • The judicial process against those linked remains active.

The hearing to determine coercive measures was postponed by the court. The process is expected to resume next Sunday starting at 7:00 p.m., at which time the legal situation of the other individuals involved in the SeNaSa 2.0 case will continue to be evaluated.
