Ciudad Juan Bosch residents demand intervention over trash crisis
The residents of the Sembrador III residential complex, located in Ciudad Juan Bosch, have raised their voices to request an urgent intervention from the mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dio Astacio. The request arises following the recurring practice of citizens who, ignoring hygiene regulations, throw waste outside the containers intended for this purpose.
According to the complainants, this issue is not an isolated incident, but a constant situation that affects the health and order of the environment. To support their claims, residents have collected various visual evidence demonstrating the lack of civic responsibility in the handling of solid waste.
Evidence recorded on security cameras
The residential surveillance system has managed to capture several individuals at the exact moment they were disposing of trash in unauthorized areas. These audiovisual materials have already been handed over to the competent authorities in Ciudad Juan Bosch, with the goal of applying the sanctions and corrective measures stipulated in the municipal regulations.
Although the recordings allow for the identification of those responsible for these actions, the response from municipal authorities has been insufficient so far, leaving waste management regulations unenforced.
Representatives of the Sembrador III community
The community insists on the need for Dio Astacio’s administration to take action to curb this bad practice. Residents hope that, by identifying the offenders through the videos, a precedent can be set that guarantees cleanliness and collective well-being in this sector of Santo Domingo Este.
