Rafael Barias dominates Bameso in the 2026 TBS Distrito

In a vibrant day of the Superior Basketball Tournament of the National District, the Rafael Barias club demonstrated its hierarchy by prevailing with a score of 80-66 over Bameso. This match, held at the BanReservas Arena of the Virgilio Travieso Soto Sports Palace, reaffirms the aspirations of the Barianos in the current intergroup phase.

Under the strategic direction of José -Pancho- Fortuna, Rafael Barias achieved their second consecutive victory, bringing their record to 2-2. With this result, the team sits in second place in Group A, closing in on the leader, Mauricio Báez. Meanwhile, Bameso, coached by Julio Duquela, remains at the bottom of the same group with a 1-3 record.

Offensive leadership on the court

The Barian victory was driven by an outstanding collective performance, led by reinforcement Marquis Wright, who spearheaded the attack with 20 points. He was joined by JD Miller with a solid production of 18 points and eight rebounds, while Bryan Ramírez contributed 17 units, six assists, and four rebounds. Eusebio Suero was also key in adding 13 points to the winning cause.

The offensive deployment of Rafael Barias was decisive in neutralizing the Bameso defense, which found no consistent answers to the pace imposed by their rivals.

On the Bameso side, efforts were led by Armani Chaney with 20 points, followed by James Feldeyne with 14 units and Juan Guerrero, who recorded a double-double near the rim with 10 points and nine rebounds.
