Rafael Barias dominates San Carlos in the District Superior Basketball Tournament
The Rafael Barias club started its participation in the 50th edition of the Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS Distrito 2026) with a firm step, after imposing itself with authority 68-56 over the San Carlos team. The match, held at the Arena BanReservas Profesor Virgilio Travieso Soto, marked a positive start for those from Villa Consuelo in the event dedicated to the Seaboard Company and which is competing for the BanReservas Cup.
With this result, Barias brings its record to 1-0, while San Carlos is going through a difficult moment at the start of the season by adding its second consecutive defeat.

The Rafael Barias offense was led by Eusebio Suero, who was a key piece by recording 19 points and seven rebounds. For his part, the reinforcement JD Miller had an outstanding night by achieving a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, consolidating the dominance under the boards.

- Dimas Carrasco: 11 points and 10 rebounds.
On the opposite sidewalk, the top scorers for San Carlos were Mathews Herasme, with 16 units and six rebounds, followed by Malachi Richardson, who contributed 14 points and five catches.
The triumph of Rafael Barias reflects the competitive level experienced in the Golden Jubilee of the district basketball, under the organization of the Basketball Association of the National District (Abadina).
