Quita Sueño seeks to become a municipality: Legislative project advances
Deputy Antonio Brito led a key meeting in the municipal district of Quita Sueño, in San Cristóbal, receiving the Permanent Commission on Municipal Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies. This visit is part of the evaluation phase of the bill that aims to elevate the administrative category of this demarcation to a municipality.
During the day, the legislator highlighted the importance of the commissioners’ presence on the ground, stressing that direct contact with the local reality is essential to understand the aspirations and needs of the citizens. The event was supported by various sectors of the community, including representatives from the educational, political, social, and religious spheres.
A community dialogue process
The public hearing held served as a space for exchange where arguments in favor of this transformation were presented. As Brito explained, the initiative stems from popular sentiment, as residents have demanded for years a more robust administrative structure that allows them to manage their own development and institutional autonomy.
