The competition, organized by Puerto Plata Beach Soccer, will take place at Charamico Beach in Sosúa, from August 21st to the 23rd, bringing together more than 150 athletes from various disciplines.

The tournament has been structured into two competitive categories: Open and U-15, providing a space for both experienced clubs and developing young talent, consolidating the growth of beach soccer in the Dominican Republic.

Participating clubs

  • Open Category: Atlántico FC, Sosúa FC, Muñoz FC, Real Deportivo, Club 6 de Febrero and Club 5 de Abril.
  • U-15 Category: Luis Nova Soccer, Sosúa FC, Miramar FC, Real Deportivo and BOB Soccer.

Boosting sports tourism

Beyond the competitive aspect, the event seeks to position Puerto Plata as a strategic epicenter for sports tourism in the Caribbean. Leveraging local natural resources and infrastructure, the organizers aim to offer a comprehensive experience to participants and visitors.

We want this tournament to go far beyond a soccer competition. We want every player, every family, and every person who visits us to have a positive experience of Puerto Plata and Sosúa. We have the conditions to turn our province into a benchmark for sports tourism in the Caribbean.

Arturo Heinsen, president of the organizing committee.

Heinsen emphasized that soccer possesses a unique capacity to attract visitors and project the country brand, highlighting the importance of the province being recognized both for its tourism offering and for its excellence in managing high-quality sporting events.

Institutional support

The success of this initiative has the strategic support of important entities, including the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Sports, Banreservas, INEFI, ADOTURD, the Football Commissioner, and the Dominican Football Federation (FEDOFUTBOL). This backing is fundamental to fostering the athletic development of young athletes and ensuring a positive economic impact in the area during the tournament.
