Protest in Rancho Almedio: Residents demand restoration of electrical service
The Rancho Almedio community, specifically in the Villa Esperanza sector, is in the midst of a day of protest this Tuesday demanding the lack of electricity supply. Residents have taken to the streets to express their frustration over the prolonged interruption that is affecting their daily activities.
As a pressure tactic, protesters have proceeded to set tires on fire on the public road, blocking passage on the highway that connects Salcedo with Villa Tapia, near the Las Rosas bridge area. According to testimonies from those affected, the electrical power service was interrupted from the early hours of the morning, specifically around 6:00 a.m., without an effective solution having been offered so far.
The residents make an urgent call to the competent authorities and the electricity distribution company to intervene immediately and normalize the service in the sector.

Due to the nature of the protest, vehicular traffic on the Salcedo–Villa Tapia road section has been affected. Drivers who regularly use this route are advised to take due precautions or seek alternate routes to avoid setbacks, while the situation in the Villa Esperanza sector remains tense as they await a response from the authorities.
