Santiago turns out in support of Dominicanos Primero: Inclusion marks the day

The city of Santiago was the scene this Sunday of a massive signature collection day for the political project Dominicanos Primero, led by businessman and communicator Santiago Matías. The event, held on the Marginal del Padre Las Casas avenue, near the Central Park, stood out for the notable participation of people with disabilities, who defied all kinds of barriers to express their support for this new proposal.

One of the most significant moments of the day was the arrival of Ana Felicia Núñez, a citizen who, despite the lack of one of her lower limbs, traveled to the location to sign in person. During the meeting, Matías spoke with her and, after learning about her needs firsthand, made a commitment to arrange for a prosthesis to improve her quality of life.

A movement that transcends barriers

Núñez’s case was not the only one. The day served as a platform for various historically marginalized sectors of society to find a space where they could be heard. Citizens from the southern area of Santiago and other provinces of the Cibao attended in large numbers, arguing that Dominicanos Primero represents a necessary alternative to traditional political structures.

The determination of the attendees, who overcame their mobility limitations to join this project, reflects the growing interest of the citizenry in seeking new voices and opportunities for real participation in national politics.

Santiago: Epicenter of the new political project

The constant flow of people from different parts of the region reaffirmed the strategic importance of Santiago in Santiago Matías’s political foray. For the organizers, the response obtained in this city is not just an indicator of popularity, but a clear sign of the desire for transformation that is running through the country.

With this event, Dominicanos Primero continues to consolidate its structure, managing to capture the attention of diverse social sectors that see in Matías a figure capable of channeling their concerns and needs into the Dominican public agenda.
