Ney Arias Lora Hospital celebrates 16 years with solid financial stability and technological advances
The Dr. Ney Arias Lora Trauma Hospital commemorates its 16th anniversary, reaffirming its position as a benchmark of excellence in medical care in the Dominican Republic. During the celebration, the center’s director, Dr. Víctor Rosario Suazo, highlighted the robust financial health that the institution is currently experiencing.
Within the framework of a floral offering held at the Altar of the Fatherland, Rosario Suazo reported that the hospital has maintained a zero-debt policy with its suppliers for more than five years. Furthermore, she emphasized that the center currently has an availability of more than RD$400 million in its bank accounts, categorically denying rumors about an alleged drop in collections.
We do not have debt to suppliers, we do not have a shortage of supplies, nor is the infrastructure weakened; on the contrary, the infrastructure is strengthened and we continue to advance and renovate the areas to be able to continue providing good service to society.

Innovation and service expansion
The director took the opportunity to highlight the significant progress made in the provision of medical services. The hospital has managed to consolidate itself through the incorporation of cutting-edge technology and new specialties, among which the following stand out:
- Implementation of hyperbaric chamber and physical therapy and rehabilitation units.
- High-complexity surgeries in joint replacements, spine, and bone reconstruction.
- New bariatric surgery units, postoperative pain management, and a specialized psychotrauma unit, a pioneer in the national hospital network.
- Projects under development for the integration of robotic surgery in both joint and abdominal procedures.
During the commemorative day, Rosario Suazo dedicated part of the recognition to Dr. Julio César Landrón de la Rosa, acknowledging his fundamental contribution to the transformation and modernization that the healthcare center has experienced in recent years.
The ceremony at the Altar of the Fatherland also served as a space for reflection and commitment for all medical and administrative staff, who reiterated their willingness to continue providing quality care to the citizenry, under an efficient and transparent management model.
