National Police intensifies supervision and strengthens internal controls in its units
The Director General of the National Police, Major General Ernesto Rafael Rodríguez García, led an inspection tour this Friday at various headquarters of the institution. The main objective of this deployment was to evaluate firsthand the operational status of the departments and to consolidate internal control strategies to ensure institutional efficiency.
During the tour, the high police command was accompanied by the deputy director general, General Esteban Figuereo García, who closely supervised the administrative and operational functioning of the law enforcement body.
Focus on discipline and institutional efficiency
One of the key points of the day was the meeting held with the Disciplinary Council, the Inspectorate General, and the Internal Affairs Directorate. During said meeting, investigation protocols and supervision mechanisms were analyzed, seeking to raise compliance standards for current regulations within the National Police.
Current management is oriented towards strengthening supervision and promoting a more professional and disciplined institution, where internal communication is the pillar of institutional commitment.
Strategic visit to key departments
As part of his work agenda, Major General Rodríguez García visited several fundamental areas for the well-being and operational readiness of the agents, among which the following stand out:
- National Police Multiservice Cooperative (COOPOL).
- Internal Affairs Directorate.
- Police Health Department.
- Institution’s Retirement Committee.
In each of these offices, the general director maintained a direct approach with the staff. During these meetings, he listened to the agents’ concerns and reiterated the importance of cultivating a work environment based on respect, trust, and transparency.
This cycle of visits reaffirms the management’s commitment to articulated work between the different structures of the entity, with the goal of achieving the strategic objectives set for citizen security and public order.
