Preventive operations by the National Police result in multiple arrests and seizures nationwide
The National Police has intensified its intelligence efforts and preventive operations in various provinces of the country, achieving significant results against the illegal carrying of weapons, micro-trafficking, illicit gambling, and noise pollution. These actions are part of the citizen security strategy deployed by the institution to guarantee public order.
Details of the operations by region
- Barahona: At the Vicente Noble intersection, Maumar Cadafi Féliz was arrested after being found in possession of a 9-millimeter caliber pistol with 17 rounds without the required documentation. Likewise, authorities impounded two high-displacement motorcycles for dangerous maneuvers and noise alterations.
- San Juan de la Maguana: Adrián Mateo de los Santos was detained following a police pursuit initiated by a noise pollution violation. During the intervention, officers confiscated two speaker boxes installed in his vehicle, a Honda Civic.
- Las Matas de Farfán: The intelligence team (DINTEL) carried out an operation in local businesses, resulting in the seizure of three slot machines that were operating illegally.
- La Romana: In the municipal district of Caleta, a 19-year-old was placed under arrest following a joint operation in which 421 portions of alleged controlled substances and cash were seized.
- Montecristi: Ángel Antonio Durán Guzmán, 33, was captured in compliance with a judicial warrant, being accused of his alleged participation in an attempted homicide case, as well as for crimes of assault and battery.
The law enforcement institution confirmed that all detained individuals, along with the seized evidence, have been placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office so that the corresponding judicial processes may proceed.
With these interventions, the National Police reaffirms its commitment to combat crime and maintain social peace throughout the Dominican territory, maintaining the deployment of its specialized units in the critical points identified by intelligence work.
