Municipal employee reports armed threat in the heart of San Francisco de Macorís

A worker from the San Francisco de Macorís Municipal City Council, who performs duties in the solid waste collection department, reported having been the victim of a serious threat while carrying out his workday in the city’s urban center.

According to the victim’s testimony, the incident occurred when the occupants of a gray vehicle approached the place where he was performing his duties. At that moment, one of the individuals traveling in the car allegedly drew a firearm, pointing it directly at the municipal employee without saying a word.

The worker expressed deep concern after the altercation, emphasizing that he was performing his daily tasks when he was violently approached by strangers.

Authorities’ intervention demanded

Given the gravity of the events, the employee has made a formal appeal to the competent authorities to initiate an exhaustive investigation into what occurred. The objective is to clarify the circumstances of the incident and achieve the identification of those responsible who were traveling in the indicated vehicle.

This event has generated concern among municipal workers and the community in general, as it is an act of violence that occurred in a central area of San Francisco de Macorís, where the safety of those who provide basic services to the citizenry should supposedly prevail.
