Miss International Dominican Republic 2026: Everything ready for the grand gala
Beauty, culture, and elegance will come together in Santo Domingo. The Miss International Dominican Republic 2026 pageant will hold its coronation night next Sunday, August 23rd at 7:00 p.m., with the Intercontinental Real Hotel as the venue. This event, which is part of the prestigious global Grand Slam, will determine the Dominican representative who will travel to Japan to compete in the 64th edition of the international pageant.
A historic visit for the country
This edition marks an unprecedented milestone in the history of the national pageant. For the first time, the country welcomes high-level executives and the reigning queen directly from Japan. The gala will feature the presence of Catalina Duque, the current international queen, and Stephen Diaz, Executive Director of the Miss International Beauty Pageant. This visit strengthens the diplomatic and cultural ties between both nations, underscoring the prestige of the organization that has been operating since 1960.
Japan maintains a special appreciation for Dominican talent, and this event seeks to bring the platform closer to a new generation of young people so they can discover the opportunities to represent the nation internationally.

The winner on this August 23rd will have the responsibility of carrying the tricolor flag at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on November 25th.
Beyond aesthetic competition, the pageant seeks to form “Ambassadors of Peace and Goodwill.” The contest, administered by the International Culture Association, promotes cultural understanding and friendship among the more than 80 participating nations.
