Andy Green is ratified as manager of the New York Mets
The New York Mets organization has confirmed the continuity of Andy Green at the helm of the team. After serving as interim manager, Green has been officially named full-time manager, sealing a contractual commitment that will link him to the franchise for the next three seasons.
Since taking the reins of the team at the end of June, replacing Carlos Mendoza, the 49-year-old strategist has managed to stabilize the squad’s performance. Under his command, the Mets have recorded a 37-38 record, highlighting a notable improvement after the All-Star break, a period in which the team accumulated a positive mark of 31-28.
The board’s confidence
The franchise owners, Steve and Alex Cohen, expressed their satisfaction with the work done by Green. The management highlighted key aspects of his tenure, such as:
