Mario Balbuena “Robin” joins the ranks of the People’s Force in Samaná

The political landscape in the municipal district of Las Galeras, Samaná, experienced a strategic move this Friday, August 28, with the official swearing-in of Mario Balbuena, popularly known as “Robin”, as a new member of the People’s Force (FP).

The welcome ceremony took place at the People’s House of said district, where a multitude of followers and militants of the organization gathered to support Balbuena’s arrival. The activity was accompanied by key figures of the party at the provincial level, consolidating significant political support for the new member.

Leadership support and new expectations

During the ceremony, prominent leaders of the Fuerza del Pueblo were present, including:

  • Coquele Niuman, provincial president of the organization.
  • Guillermo Alcequiez.
  • Wilson Forchu, senior party leader.

With this step, Balbuena, who previously served in the ranks of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), marks the beginning of a new stage in his career within the structure led by Leonel Fernández.

Robin’s incorporation represents a new move within the political landscape of Las Galeras, while the definition of the municipal candidacies of the Fuerza del Pueblo is awaited.

Towards a Mayoral candidacy?

Although neither the party leadership nor the leader himself have made a pre-candidacy official, various political sectors in Las Galeras point out that Balbuena is being projected as a key figure to compete for the Mayor’s Office of the municipal district in the upcoming electoral contest.

The day was marked by the enthusiasm of the attendees, who chanted the slogan “With the People’s Force we will win,” making it clear that the arrival of “Robin” seeks to strengthen the organization’s presence in the province of Samaná. The local political environment remains expectant regarding the upcoming official announcements on the definitive candidacies of the FP.
