Promoting road safety culture in Santo Domingo Oeste schools
With the purpose of transforming the way young people move and interact on the streets, the ambassador of family road safety education, María Díaz Guzmán, has launched an important educational initiative in Santo Domingo Oeste. The project consists of the distribution of copies of her work titled “How to protect yourself from a reckless driver and maintain human behavior in traffic” in 50 educational centers in the district.
This work seeks to provide students with theoretical and practical tools that foster prevention, respect for rules, and civic responsibility from an early age. The author maintains that the key to reducing incidents on the roads lies in comprehensive training that transcends the classroom.
Road safety education must begin in the family and continue at school. If we manage to get our children and young people to learn how to identify risks and protect their lives, we will be forming a different generation of road users.

A commitment to prevention
The initiative is not limited to the delivery of bibliographic material, but is part of a sustained effort by Díaz Guzmán to involve various sectors of society, including families, public institutions, and companies, in building a safer road environment.
