Man arrested for the illegal capture of a manta ray in Las Terrenas
The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has confirmed the arrest of a man allegedly involved in the illegal capture of a manta ray in the tourist area of Las Terrenas, Samaná province. This incident, which has caused great indignation, occurred last Friday, immediately mobilizing environmental authorities.
After receiving the report on the incident, the competent authorities initiated a rigorous investigation process to clarify the details of the event and locate all those responsible for this attack on the local marine fauna.
