Luis Abinader moves the presidential office to Santiago for three days
President Luis Abinader has begun an intense work agenda in the province of Santiago, where he will remain for three consecutive days. This strategic trip seeks to bring the public administration closer to the productive and social sectors of the region, focusing on key areas such as health, infrastructure, construction, and housing development.
A government focused on local needs
Aníbal Díaz Belliard, operational director of the Presidency, confirmed that the president will work from the Heart City between Monday and Wednesday. According to the authorities, this decision responds to strategic planning based on the demands of the various sectors of the province, allowing the central government to temporarily relocate its operations to Santiago.

The governor of Santiago, Rosa Santos, described this presidential stay as an unprecedented event for the area. Santos highlighted that the continuous presence of the head of state facilitates an open and direct dialogue with citizens, allowing local proposals to be heard and evaluated in real time.
Strengthening the bond between Santiago and the State
For his part, the general director of CORAASAN, Andrés Cueto, stressed that this approach has been a constant since the beginning of Abinader’s administration. He recalled that the first Council of Ministers of this administration was held precisely in Santiago in September 2020, marking the beginning of a government decentralization policy.
