The national political landscape has been shaken by recent statements from communicator and municipalist Jonatan Familia, who projects an unexpected electoral scenario for the upcoming elections. According to the analyst, the strategic move that would define the country’s political future would not be forged within traditional opposition forces, but rather through an unprecedented alliance between the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
During his intervention on the radio show Politikal, Familia argued that the chances of a pact between the PLD and the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) are practically nil. This position is based on the relational wear and tear derived from the past 2024 elections, a period in which mutual accusations of betrayal and the lack of support in critical areas such as Santo Domingo Norte and Santo Domingo Este fractured any possibility of an understanding in the short term.
