INAP and Ministry of Justice seal strategic alliance to strengthen public administration

With the goal of raising efficiency standards in the Dominican State, the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) and the Ministry of Justice have formalized an inter-institutional collaboration agreement. This alliance seeks to enhance technical training, scientific research, and the development of professional competencies for public servants.

The agreement was signed by Gregorio Montero, Director General of INAP, and Antoliano Peralta Romero, Minister of Justice. Both authorities agreed that this pact is fundamental for designing academic programs that respond to the current needs of government management.

Training and professionalization of the public servant

The agreement contemplates a comprehensive plan that covers various key areas for institutional strengthening. Among the highlights are:

  • Development of continuing education programs and specialized training.
  • Promotion of methodological training for researchers, teachers, and academic facilitators.
  • Joint organization of seminars, congresses, panels, and discussions.
  • Promotion of research and dissemination of administrative sciences and public policy.

Strengthening staff capabilities is essential to respond with excellence to the demands of the Public Administration and Dominican society.

For his part, Gregorio Montero highlighted that the INAP will provide all its technical support to assist the Ministry of Justice in its institutional reconfiguration process, ensuring that human capital has the necessary tools for its optimal performance.

Short-term academic projects

As part of the established roadmap, the upcoming execution of two high-impact training programs was announced: Comprehensive Management of Notarial and Official Services, and Registry Analysis of Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs). These programs, with an initial duration of three years, are part of both institutions’ commitment to professionalizing the management of legal documents and services.

The signing ceremony was attended by a large representation from both entities, including vice ministers, directors of legal, human resources, and teacher training departments, who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the objectives set out in this inter-institutional collaboration.
