Humano Seguros boosts Dominican talent with the Excellence Scholarships program
With the goal of fostering academic and professional development in the country, Humano Seguros has launched its “Excellence Scholarships” program. This social responsibility initiative seeks to support young people who stand out for their academic performance, leadership skills, and strong commitment to social well-being.
In this inaugural call, 20 scholarships have been awarded as a result of a strategic agreement with five of the most important higher education institutions in the Dominican Republic: the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), the Universidad APEC (UNAPEC), the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), and the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU).
When we talk about well-being, we are not only referring to what we do through our insurance activity. We are also talking about creating the conditions that allow people to grow, develop, and reach their potential. That is why, when we think about where we can generate an impact that transcends time, education necessarily occupies a fundamental place, because few investments have such a capacity to transform a society.
Eduardo Cruz, President of Humano Seguros
A strategic approach to areas of innovation
The program places special emphasis on STEAM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), areas considered vital for the country’s transformation and economic progress. Among the selected majors, Actuarial Science, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Telematics, and Industrial Engineering stand out.
Beyond financial support, scholarship recipients will have a comprehensive support model that includes:
- Personalized academic and professional guidance.
- Access to exclusive internship programs.
- Active participation in special company projects.
- Real possibilities for job placement within Humano Seguros.
