Planning and the start of the work
Borg emphasized that success in LIDOM is not a product of chance, but the result of strategic planning and constant monitoring. Under this premise, the manager confirmed that the team will formally begin its preseason activities this coming Monday with the opening of a minicamp. In this first phase, the integration of pitchers and various position players is expected to begin defining the team’s competitive identity.
- Mini-camp start: Monday.
- Objective: player evaluation and establishing the club’s identity.
- Focus: maintaining the line of hard work that has characterized the team recently.
Robinson Canó in the sights of the Estrellas
One of the points that generates the greatest expectation among the Petromacorisana fan base is the possible participation of star Robinson Canó. Héctor Borg confirmed that he maintains an open channel of communication with the veteran player, who is currently in formal talks with the team’s management.
The possibility of having Canó adds significant value to the Estrellas Orientales project, as they seek to structure a roster capable of competing for the championship from day one. With the arrival of Borg to the dugout, the San Pedro de Macorís organization reaffirms its intention to remain one of the leading teams in Dominican winter baseball.
