Primary care strengthened in Sabana del Puerto with the delivery of a renovated center
The residents of Sabana del Puerto are now enjoying a fully transformed Primary Care Center (CPN). The National Health Service (SNS) officially handed over these facilities with the goal of raising the quality of medical services and ensuring more dignified care for the entire community.
The handover ceremony was led by Dr. Julio Landrón, executive director of the SNS, who emphasized that having modern and comfortable infrastructure is a priority for providing efficient health services. Dr. Ayadelkys Robles, director of the Cibao Sur Regional Health Service, also participated in the event, reaffirming the institutional commitment to bringing preventive medicine to the most needy sectors.
Quality healthcare close to home
This work is part of the public policies promoted by the Government to strengthen the Primary Health Care level. By facilitating access to medical consultations and follow-ups without the need for long journeys, the aim is to positively impact the well-being of local families.
The recovery and adaptation of these spaces is fundamental to strengthening the gateway to the public system, allowing for timely care and constant monitoring of the citizens’ health needs.
SNS Authorities
Continuous commitment to the healthcare system
- Significant improvement in care conditions for users.
- Reinforcement of preventive and medical follow-up tasks.
- Optimization of the local health system to respond to community demands.
With these actions, the SNS continues its plan for the renovation of facilities nationwide. The delivery of the Sabana del Puerto CPN represents a significant advance in the strategy of decentralizing health services, ensuring that the First Level of Care functions as an articulating and efficient axis for the Dominican population.
