Dodgers define their rotation for the start of the Championship Series against Milwaukee

The Los Angeles Dodgers have outlined their pitching strategy to face the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Tarik Skubal will take the mound for the first game of the series, scheduled for this Sunday, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be in charge of starting the second game next Monday at American Family Field.

The confidence in both pitchers responds to their outstanding performances in the Division Series against the Atlanta Braves. Skubal shone in the first game, where he worked six innings allowing just one run and two hits, in addition to recording seven strikeouts. For his part, Yamamoto had a dominant performance in the third game, completing seven innings with ten strikeouts and only one run allowed.

Roster adjustments and Miguel Rojas’ health status

Beyond the rotation, the Dodgers’ coaching staff is considering making changes to the roster for this best-of-seven series. Roberts indicated that they are evaluating the possible addition of an extra pitcher, which would require dropping a position player before the official roster submission this Sunday.

Another point of attention for the Los Angeles team is the situation of Miguel Rojas. The 37-year-old veteran, who has suggested that this could be his final season as a professional, suffered lower back discomfort during the previous series. However, the medical report is positive after he performed defensive drills and batting practice last Friday.

Rojas’ progress has been encouraging, but we will maintain constant observation of his physical response after training sessions to determine his final availability for the start of the series.

The Dodgers reach this stage after eliminating the Atlanta Braves in four games, establishing themselves as one of the most solid teams in the Major League postseason.
