Ministry of Tourism promotes technical training in the Colonial City with new equipment
The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, led the delivery of technological equipment and specialized tools to three training centers located in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. This initiative seeks to raise the educational and operational standards of the institutions in charge of preparing young people in key areas for the development of the tourism sector and local economies.
The entities benefiting from this contribution are the Hospitality and Tourism Training Center of the Association for Aid to Families (ADAF), the Santo Domingo Workshop School, and the Cardenal López Rodríguez Technological Center. The delivery is part of the Improvement Plan for Technical and Vocational Schools, executed by the Comprehensive Tourism and Urban Development Program of the Colonial City (PIDTUCC).
Training is part of the development strategy we have at the Ministry of Tourism and provides a comprehensive vision of what is happening in the Colonial City as an unprecedented historical event.

A direct impact on Dominican youth

- Santo Domingo Workshop School: Focused on construction, maintenance, and traditional trades.
- Cardinal López Rodríguez Technological Center: Offers programs in administration, accounting, languages, and technology.
This action complements other efforts carried out in the Colonial City, such as the recovery of museums, the restoration of the Cathedral and the Alcázar de Colón, and the renovation of facades, reaffirming Alofoke Deportes’ commitment to following up on policies that foster the progress of infrastructure and human capital in the country.
