Authorities seek Darlin Martínez Ulloa for the death of Carolay Taveras in Santiago
The National Police have intensified search efforts to locate Darlin Martínez Ulloa, alias Darlyn Zaza, who is identified as the alleged person responsible for the death of 25-year-old Carolay Taveras Morel. The tragic event took place during the early hours of August 9th in the parking lot of an entertainment venue in Santiago de los Caballeros.
Following an exhaustive investigation coordinated with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the authorities issued arrest warrant number 2026-AJ0068652 against the suspect. According to preliminary reports, the victim lost their life due to blunt abdominal trauma, caused by being struck by a vehicle following an altercation they had with Martínez Ulloa outside the establishment.
Discovery of vehicle linked to the event
As part of the proceedings to clarify the case, police officers located a gray 2017 Honda CR-V pickup truck at a workshop in the Santiago Oeste (Cienfuegos) municipal district. The vehicle was confiscated after it was verified, through the analysis of security cameras, that it was taken to the location for repairs shortly after the incident occurred.
The law enforcement institution maintains an active search for Darlin Martínez Ulloa so that he may answer to justice for the acts he is accused of, while the recovered vehicle remains under technical custody as a key piece of the investigation.
The authorities reported that the investigative process remains open with the objective of determining with precision the exact circumstances of the event and ensuring that the corresponding legal responsibilities are applied in accordance with what is established in Dominican law.
