Cristo Rey looks impeccable: Residents highlight efficiency in garbage collection

The Cristo Rey sector is experiencing a notable transformation in its urban hygiene. Residents of the area have expressed their satisfaction with the solid waste collection service implemented by the National District City Council (ADN), highlighting the constant frequency with which the collection trucks operate on their streets.

During a tour conducted by the Alofoke Deportes team, it was possible to verify the active presence of cleaning units systematically removing waste. This operational improvement has been received with optimism by the community, which now enjoys a cleaner and more orderly environment.

Citizen testimonials support the administration

Eladio Corniel, a local community member, highlighted the continuity of the service. According to his words, the improvement is evident, as the trucks circulate daily, even passing through the same point multiple times during the day.

Now it is better. They pass by every day, up to two trucks.

Along the same lines, another resident described the current management as excellent, ensuring that the collection frequency reaches up to three times a day. However, she called for civic awareness, pointing out that some neighbors leave bags on the public road after the truck has already completed its route, which leads to unnecessary accumulations.

Specific challenges on the route

Although the general perception is positive, areas with specific challenges persist. Miguel Ángel Cuello, another person consulted, pointed out that in critical spots such as Juan Alejandro Ibarra street, sporadic accumulations occur. Despite acknowledging that the service operates regularly in most of the sector, Cuello emphasized the need to reinforce attention in areas where the truck might occasionally skip its route.

  • Daily collection frequency in much of the sector.
  • Need for residents to respect trash disposal schedules.
  • Request to reinforce surveillance on streets with specific issues.

The Cristo Rey community agrees that the key to keeping the sector clean lies in the combination of a constant collection frequency by the City Council and compliance with hygiene standards by each citizen.
