COE raises four provinces to yellow alert due to the passage of a tropical wave
The Emergency Operations Center (COE) has updated its meteorological bulletin this Monday, raising to four the number of provinces under yellow alert. The measure is in response to the impact of an active tropical wave, linked to the remnants of Dolly, which is causing a significant increase in humidity levels over much of the national territory.
Provinces under advisory
The authorities have placed the National District, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, and Monte Plata on yellow alert level. This decision is based on the high probability that rainfall will cause urban and rural flooding, as well as the overflowing of rivers, streams, and creeks.
On the other hand, a total of ten additional provinces remain on green alert:

- La Romana
- El Seibo
- La Altagracia

- María Trinidad Sánchez
According to the forecast, the combination of these meteorological phenomena will continue to cause frequent downpours, accompanied by thunderstorms and wind gusts in various areas of the country.
