Charred body found next to vehicle in La Vega mine

A gruesome discovery shocked the residents of the El Pino community, in the La Vega province, this Friday morning. Authorities reported the discovery of a man’s lifeless body, which was found completely charred inside a mine located near the Duarte highway.

The incident was reported through the 9.1.1 Emergency System, alerting about a vehicle that was engulfed in flames inside the mining site. Immediately, units from the Fire Department moved to the scene to extinguish the fire, finding the car completely destroyed by the flames.

After controlling the situation, agents from the Scientific Police and representatives of the Public Ministry arrived at the scene to collect evidence and begin the necessary investigations. The removal of the body was carried out by the medical examiner, Dr. Polanco, who confirmed the complexity of the case due to the state of the remains.
