Karina Banda defends her unconditional bond with her pets

Renowned Mexican presenter Karina Banda has made it clear on several occasions the unconditional love she feels for her pets, whom she considers a fundamental part of her family. Together with her husband, actor Carlos Ponce, Karina shares her home and even her personal space with her three dogs: Bruno, Ash, and Aspen.

This deep affection led her to launch her own podcast titled ‘Vida de pelos’, a space dedicated to exploring the special connection that exists between people and their four-legged companions, as well as normalizing the role that animals occupy in modern homes.

Full support for the Desiguales program

Recently, the topic of treating pets as “fur babies” was debated on the show Desiguales, where her co-hosts, Charytín Goyco, Amara La Negra, and Adamari López, came to the defense of the communicator’s stance in the face of external criticism.

I have children, ladies and gentlemen, but she was my fourth child. She was something so great to me. I understand you so much, Karina, because they are the most adorable, wonderful, and unconditional beings that can exist in this world.

For her part, Amara La Negra emphasized that the criticism directed at those who decide to pour their love into a pet is usually unnecessary. “If that person is happy and is providing love, affection, and a nice home to that animal, then let them be, don’t criticize so much,” she stated.

Adamari López also provided a reflective perspective, recalling that on many occasions, the bond with an animal is a way to channel love when, due to various circumstances, one has not had the possibility of having human children.

A message of respect and happiness

Despite divided opinions on social media regarding the term “perrijos” (fur babies), Karina Banda stands firm in her vision. The host emphasized that, as long as a person’s actions do not harm third parties, everyone has the right to live their happiness as they see fit.

“If there is something that is changing your life and it doesn’t affect you, well, everyone experiences it in the way they want,” concluded Banda, calling for empathy and respect in a world that already presents enough daily challenges.
