Águilas Cibaeñas strengthen their rotation with the signing of Dylan File
The Águilas Cibaeñas have taken an important step in shaping their roster for the 2026-2027 season of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), by making the signing of right-handed pitcher Dylan File official. The organization’s main objective is to strengthen its starting rotation with the experience and depth that the American pitcher brings.
File, 30, arrives at the yellow squad after an outstanding performance in the minor league system, specifically with the Toledo Mud Hens, the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. During his last stint, the pitcher accumulated 131 and one-third innings of work in 27 starts, managing to record 102 strikeouts, which demonstrates his ability to remain active on the mound.
Dylan File’s career and statistics
Standing at six feet one inch tall and weighing 206 pounds, File brings an imposing physical profile. Throughout his eight seasons in organized baseball, he has demonstrated consistency, accumulating a record of 54 wins and 54 losses, with a career ERA of 4.48. The right-hander was originally selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 21st round of the 2017 Draft, following his time at Dixie State University.
The arrival of Dylan File responds to the Águilas Cibaeñas’ strategy to structure a competitive rotation capable of facing the challenges of the demanding Dominican winter baseball.
A roster under construction
With the integration of File, the Águilas Cibaeñas continue to consolidate their group of foreign reinforcements. The pitcher joins a list of talents previously announced by the Aguilas management, who will seek to restore glory to the team in the upcoming campaign. The list of confirmed imports so far includes:
- J. C. Escarra
- Raynel Delgado
- Oscar Rayo
- Victor Scott II
The operations management of the Santiago team maintains its focus on structuring a balanced team, combining young talent and experienced veterans, with the clear goal of winning the championship title in the winter tournament.
