Luis Abinader launches “THE Weekly Agenda”: A new format of governmental interaction
The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, has initiated a new stage in his official communication with the launch of “THE Weekly Agenda”. This space, which will be broadcast from the National Palace, seeks to centralize accountability and the monitoring of the most relevant issues for the nation, marking a significant evolution compared to previous dynamics.
Changes in communication dynamics
The main novelty of this format lies in the participation of the media. Unlike previous editions, in this initial phase, the in-person attendance of journalists at the National Palace will not be allowed. Instead, the Presidency’s press team has enabled digital channels so that communicators can send their questions in advance or ask them in real-time during the live broadcast, scheduled for 5:00 in the afternoon.
The goal is to provide constant monitoring of matters of national interest and to evaluate the progress, challenges, and pending tasks of the government’s administration in an agile and efficient manner.

Focus on education
For the premiere of this space, the Government has selected the education sector as its central theme. The first installment focuses on the start of the 2026-2027 school year, an event of great impact that mobilizes millions of students throughout the Dominican territory. To delve into the details of this academic period, the president is joined by the Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, and part of his technical team.
