President Abinader warns that those responsible for violent acts in Boca Chica and Serrallés will be captured
President Luis Abinader sent a forceful message this Monday from Santiago de los Caballeros, urging the members of the criminal gang linked to the recent shooting in Boca Chica to surrender to the authorities. The president was emphatic in pointing out that the arm of justice will reach them regardless of the circumstances.
During a meeting with the press, the head of state addressed two events that have shocked Dominican society over the past weekend: the armed confrontation in Boca Chica and the physical assault against 23-year-old Gustavo Adolfo III Mejía-Ricart Risk in the Serrallés sector.
There are two cases that have been presented this weekend. There is one where one of the perpetrators has already been captured, in the case of the young Mejía-Ricart.

Citizen security as a government priority
Regarding the Boca Chica shooting case, Abinader assured that the State security agencies are maintaining rigorous monitoring to locate all those involved. The president reiterated that the Government will spare no effort in its work of prosecuting crime.

The president emphasized that, under his administration, the priority is to preserve the tranquility of the population, insisting that for the State every life is valuable and, therefore, a single death is too many. The investigations will continue their course until each of those responsible for these violent acts is brought to Dominican justice.
