San Cristóbal intensifies search for U8 baseball talent
The San Cristóbal Province Baseball Association (ABEPSANCRIS) is immersed in an ambitious qualifying process that spans various municipalities in the region. The main objective is to identify the most outstanding prospects to form the teams that will represent the province in upcoming national and provincial baseball commitments in the U8 category.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy led by the entity to raise the competitive level of local baseball, placing special emphasis on the minor categories, which represent the future of this sport in the region.
Commitment to national success
Eugenio Báez, president of ABEPSANCRIS, emphasized the importance of this process to return San Cristóbal to the top of national competitions. According to the leader, the work focuses on preparing a group capable of prevailing from the very first match.
On October 11, the National Baseball Federation will begin its U8 tournament, and we want it to be known throughout the country from the moment the San Cristóbal team arrives that we have the conditions to be the new champions of that sporting event.

Leadership and development vision
Beyond player recruitment, ABEPSANCRIS seeks to strengthen the coaching staff of its national teams. The entity’s president advocated for greater integration of provincial leaders, proposing that teams be managed by managers from different municipalities. This measure seeks to recognize the leadership, experience, and constant effort that these coaches put into their communities.
